The Faculty of Economic Science of Kaposvár University was established in 2004 to provide competitive, practice-oriented education based on a modern theoretical basis in the fields of corporate management and finance, rural development, and economic science. A further objective is to supply the small and medium-sized enterprises, the financial sector, and the local governments with skilled professionals and to ensure continued education for specialists working in these areas.
The importance of the Faculty of Economics to the expanding university is reflected in a beautiful new building housing its staff offices and educational facilities. With an attached student centre, renovated library, and student housing facilities available to students from all faculties, this 4 billion forint investment clearly shows the prominent position of the Faculty of Economics in the University's future. The faculty has equipped three classrooms with a full complement of computers and upgraded and expanded its informatics network to the tune of 50 million HUF.
