The University of Kaposvár is arranging the successful Researchers’ Night for the sixth times. This time lots of the programs are connected to fairy tales but also the world of robots can be discovered by the visitors who come to the university on 28th September. Traditionally, we can get an insight how PET MR and PET CT equipment work. In addition, we invite everybody who is interested in interactive presentations, a maths-playhouse or in some radio and dubbing practice. You can find out the secret of a „bloody good” steak or see whether foxes are tricky only in fairy tales.
Besides providing entertainment and fun, this event aims at promoting researcher careers. Vice-rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Tossenberger János said it at last year’s opening:
„It is important to make people aware that researchers are not extra-terrestrial creatures surrounded by pink haze, they are all real flesh-and-blood people who are working for the society using their special knowledge and skills.”
That is the reason why the University of Kaposvár is offering programs which can be interesting for a wide range of people.
The Researchers’ Night was launched by the European Commission more than 10 years ago to introduce researcher careers to young people and to promote natural sciences. Every year nearly 2000 programs are offered in 30 cities all over Hungary.
